This publication marks the conclusion of more than a year’s work carried out under the auspices of the FIR by the ERAFP and the FRR, with the support of the PRI, to address the increasing need for transparency, measurement and harmonisation of shareholder and bondholder engagement practices. It gives rise to the first version of the VOICE method (Valuation of Influence in Corporate Engagement), designed to support responsible investors who position themselves on environmental, social and governance issues.
This new VOICE method lays the solid foundations for a reference framework aimed at promoting a better understanding of engagement practices and highlighting high-quality engagements that have a real and lasting influence on companies.
