Pension funds and related issues

Context

Eurosif’s 2003-2004 work programme includes a pension programme project that will produce a review of best practices in SRI among pension funds as well as create a “toolkit” to help pension funds across Europe better understand how SRI can be integrated into their policies.

These projects will be presented to the European Parliament.

Objectives

The Project Group’s main objective is to contribute to the work done by Eurosif’s team on this theme.

Deliverables

  1. The French section of the best practices among pension funds (October 2004),
  2. Transfer the “toolkit” to a national level of public awareness (October 2004).

Social Intelligence

Context

Themes and sectors studied: Re-organisations, restructuring, internal and external relocation in the automobile equipment sector.

Objectives

The Project Group has several objectives:

  • Draw up an inventory of legislative contexts from potential “source” countries (continental Europe, Anglo-Saxon countries) and potential welcoming countries (China, Mexico, Brazil);
  • Identify the practical boundaries that are relevant to certain CSR issues (Territorial relations in source countries and host countries, dynamic of preventative plans, quality of social plans, expectations from the SRI community, expectations for external communications, etc.)
