French Social Investment Forum (SIF)

Governance

As with every non-profit association, the French Social Investment Forum is equipped with a Board of Directors and an Executive Committee.

In addition to these statutory bodies (General Assembly, Board of Directors, Executive Committee), the French SIF also relies on a Advisory Committee, a Standing Committee and Project Groups.

Executive Committee

The composition of the Executive Committee is determined by the General Assembly so that, on the one hand the association is represented in all its diversity at the executive level, and on the other hand, to make sure rules set up between the Standing Committee and the Project Groups are followed.

The Executive Committee, in its current formation, includes 6 members who were elected during the Board Meeting on June 29th, 2005. In addition to a President, it includes a General Secretary, a Treasurer and three Vice Presidents.

At the June 29th, 2005 Board Meeting Patrick Boulte, former President and then Treasurer of the association, was named Honorary President.

Mission

The Executive Committee’s mission is as follows:

  • Carry out the decisions made by the Board of Directors,
  • Prepare the summons and agendas for the Board of Directors meetings and create minutes of these meetings,
  • Determine which members have the authority to intervene on behalf of the association at external events,
  • Make decisions about all questions relative to the practical and regulatory functioning of the association,
  • Decide on content of communications made by the Standing Committee and Project Groups, unless it is necessary to consult the Board of Directors,
  • Carry out, within the limits of the budget voted by the general assembly, investments and operations that imply recurring expenses for the association and manage standard spending necessary for a proper functioning of the association,
  • Carry out, within the limits of the specific budget voted by the Board of Directors, spending that is not considered to be recurring expenses for the association.
